Your Church Bulletin

Start advertising 4-5 weeks before the event
Vary the format to grab people’s attention and appeal to different styles
Graphics are great
Use the announcements included in the package or create your own

Area churches

Send or e-mail an announcement that can be cut and pasted directly into the bulletin (no retyping).
Remember that the church administrator is often the person who decides which church and community events are put into the announcements. If it is easy to add, there is a better chance it will make it!
Send a covering letter asking for specific dates for the announcement to be used or send a different one every week (offering the option for them to be removed from your mailing list...)

Posters

Send a poster for their bulletin board. Even if the announcement doesn’t make it into the bulletin, the poster is very likely to be posted. A packet of colour posters can be sent to you to promote the concert. Please let us know how many you can use. The posters have a white space for your particular concert information

Poster Highlights

The largest and boldest words on the template should be the DATE, TIME and LOCATION. Cost of tickets and ticket contact number should be in smaller print. Don’t overload with words.

Linnea Good is coming to our area to perform in concert, and we thought people would want to know about it. She is a hit across the country with her songs of faith and we believe it's bound to be a big event. Thank-you for helping us out in this way.

Suggested announcement for bulletins on Sundays October 19 and 26:
Canadian singer-songwriter Linnea Good takes the stage in Summerland with her unique combination of song, humour and story on Saturday, Nov 7/07. Acclaimed as a prophetic and contemporary voice of faith, Linnea is a multi award nominated artist for adults and children alike. Join Linnea and Good Company at 7:30 at Summerland's Centre Stage Theatre. Children: come at 6pm and become the back-up vocalist choir. Tickets: $12 Adults, $6 Children.
