Linnea Good - Her Story
Linnea Good is a singer-songwriter, composer, worship leader, and teacher of adults and children — a traveling minstrel whose spirited piano, ukulele, and storytelling have carried her voice across Canada, the US, Australia/New Zealand, and India.
Together with her drummer and spouse David Jonsson, she has animated musical and faith communities for over three decades.

Now based in Summerland BC, Linnea teaches Piano and Ukulele — both in her studio and online — and remains an active local presence in the Okanagan community. In 2015, she founded Summerland Music Camp - a summer tradition for elementary age children. She continues to animate music-making and storytelling at events from local to international, such as the Maritime East Coast Ukulele Camp.
In her active years of touring and concert-giving, Linnea was known as the "contemporary musical voice of the United Church of Canada". She recorded 12 albums of original faith-based music, with sales nearing 30,000 units, and her songs have found their way into hymnbooks and worship resources around the globe. Her albums Swimmin' Like a Bird and Momentary Saints each earned nominations for Top Children's and Top Christian/Gospel Album from multiple Canadian music associations. She holds a Master of Religious Education degree from Emmanuel College, University of Toronto, with a specialty in music as a tool for Christian formation.
In recent years, Linnea's career has expanded in new and joyful directions.
An accredited biblical by-heart storyteller, she co-leads the Network of Biblical Storytellers Canada. Since the first day of pandemic lockdown, she has recorded weekly lectionary-based scripture videos for an online audience, finding new ways to sustain congregation and community across distance.
One of her most beloved recent offerings is Ukulele Church — a ministry that brings together ukulele learning, biblical storytelling, and devotion in a joyful online Sunday gathering.
Linnea and David continue to make regular journeys to India, supporting a school as part of their ongoing mission of building relationships across borders.
David Jonsson, a gold record honoree, studio musician of over 50 albums, veteran of CBC TV's Fred Penner's Place, and founding member of Charlotte Diamond's Juno-award-winning Hug Bug Band, continues to anchor the duo's sound. Linnea, on keyboard, is the youngest member of the Hug Bug Band.
Linnea and David have three adult children: Patrick, Nicole, and Isaac.
